BEYOND:  The 12 Cra­nial nerves could cor­re­spond to the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 signs of the zodiac, the 12 months, etc.  In astrol­ogy it is the zodiac that act as the con­struct of our make up and the plan­ets that move through them act­ing as influ­enc­ing our expe­ri­ence of the world.  Action can be sym­bol­ized by the hands and our work through them.  We can make choices how we live our life, let outer forces decide for us, or a live in com­bi­na­tions of con­scious will and “fate”.  Free will is a won­der­ful thing.
