ANATOMY:  Visual pathway in the brain from an inferior view.  (It really looks like a mask.)  Human skull superimposed.

BEYOND: The Power of Perception.  Humans often see things in absolutes and opposites.  Black and white, right and wrong, good and bad.  There is a place deep in our brain where “opposites” meet, cross and become a mirror path of the other, suggesting our potential to understand and be sympathetic to our perceived opposite.  It also suggests there is a connection and similarity to things we are “opposed” to more than we often comfortably accept.  Recognize your “darkness”, accept it as equal to your light in a conscious and loving way.  By doing this you are aware of and in charge of it – not it controlling you when you’re not paying attention.
